His John Wick certainly sounds like Keanu Reeves - a gruff man content to exist in his own, quiet little world until forced to take action.

MacLean could build a world, and King could surprise you by what the main character truly was capable of. After taking revenge on the Tarasovs, John retrieves his prized car from Viggo's brother, Abram, and forms a truce with him. And in Chapter 3, John has Sofia Al-Azwar's (Halle Berry) marker stashed in a book of Russian fairy tales at the New York Public Library, along with one of the last remaining photographs of his wife Helen. But none of the few good points or bits and pieces of interesting ideas can make up for the absolute nonsense that is Calamity Jane and how the choice to introduce such a ridiculous character ruined both the tone and enjoyability of this comic. Don’t let the cover art fool you because as far the art is concerned, John looks great and Keanu Reeves’ likeness is captured well for the comic and that’s probably the only good thing about it.Just as John Wick needs special lining in his suits that won't disrupt the lines of the fabric and cut, so too does Keanu Reeves need room in the suit lining for padding and other protective gear, as the majority of his fight scenes take place in those suits. John fights and kills Killa in his nightclub and Katia brands John's arm with a Ruska Roma crest, now enabling him to request a duel to fight the Marquis. This fact applies as well to the variety of tattoos shown onscreen, especially those worn by John and the members of the ballet Institute where he was raised. Created by Chad Stahelski and David Leitch and written by Derek Kolstad, the high-powered underworld thriller featuring Keanu Reeves as one of the deadliest assassins known to man feels as removed from reality as most action franchises. After Wick saves Charon's life, Maria recognizes his potential and immediately tries to recruit him.

Outside of murdering all the men in the hotel, John left them alive, which seems to be the only separation between his comic book and film identity. But can an injured John Wick prevail without giving up his market against the full fury of Calamity unleashed? Maybe it's just that a static medium like comics cannot capture the kineticism of the films, but I found this whole thing underwhelming.Winston and the Bowery King are then seen at John's grave which is next to his wife Helens with the epitaph "Loving Husband", which John had earlier requested of Winston. The films do suggest however that Wick cannot lie about his real nature, that he belongs in this world and his wife and dog dying were just the excuses he needed to unleash his true self. Designed by modernist architect Alvario Siza, John's house features amazing natural light, sleek lines, elegant furnishings, and most importantly privacy.
